CHARLIE LILLY
Director
Charlie Lilly is a filmmaker based in London.
After graduating in Digital Film Production at Ravensbourne University, Charlie has focused on making short films and creating digital content for brands such as BBC Studios and Progress Wrestling.
Previously, Charlie wrote and directed the award-winning short film “The Trouble With Retirement” which was officially selected by Cineshots, Liftoff Global and Rob Knox Film Festival.
Charlie is currently in production on a short film, Snoop, as a 1st Assistant Director and Editor and is currently working on pre-production for his next directing venture.
MATTHEW WHITTLE
Writer & Editor
Matt is a screenwriter and filmmaker based in South East London.
Matt worked in scripted development for TV, and saw several original concepts he conceived through to commission.
He is the creator and face of Full Fat Videos; a popular YouTube channel covering film and television.
Matt divides his time between editing digital media and short films, as well as writing short and feature films; his next project, Snoop, is currently in production.
MAXINE BUDD
Producer
Maxine is a Producer and Production Manager based in South-East London.
After studying for her MA in International Film Business at The London Film School, Maxine was keen to get more hands-on industry experience outside of student film. Initially drawn more to distribution, she undertook placements at Dogwoof, Sky and Sheffield Doc Fest. In 2018, she worked with an international team of filmmakers on the documentary short “I am Rebecca”, heading up the film’s marketing and festival submissions.
Over the next 6 years, Maxine worked her way from Production Assistant to Head of Production at an award-winning content studio. More recently, in 2023, Maxine was part of the founding team at a startup production company, alongside continuing to pursue her passion for producing short films and bringing together talented creatives.
Maxine is currently in production, producing the short film, Snoop.
SHAUN GRIMSLEY
Director of Photography
Shaun is a London-based, full-time DOP.
After assisting on films by Justin Kurzel and Wes Anderson, Shaun went out on his own and spent far too much money on equipment to ensure he could be his own one-man lighting and shooting studio. Invasion was made with that very equipment.
Adaptable to shooting everything from commercials to stop-motion animation, documentaries to drama, Shaun loves everything about lighting and the moving image, and thanks his photographer father for leaving a vintage Nikon camera laying around the house when he was a very inquisitive 7 year old. Shaun also thanks his father for being very patient when he dropped said vintage Nikon camera on the hardwood floor.
Shaun has most recently DOP’d a Music video for Hell is for Heroes’ new single, “If Your Heart Will Answer”, and is currently in production on the short film, Snoop.
